Exodus 11:9-10 meaning
Despite all of the miraculous events in the first nine plagues, God warned Moses that Pharaoh will not listen to you. Apart from this being an unplanned and unintentional obstacle to the LORD's plans, He reminded Moses that Pharaoh's stubbornness was done so that My wonders will be multiplied in the land of Egypt. Through these plagues, the LORD showed that Egypt's gods and goddesses were powerless in front of Him. Even Pharaoh himself, though considered divine, could do nothing to prevent or stop them from happening. Both the Egyptians and the Israelites had to learn this. Even when Moses and Aaron performed all these wonders before Pharaoh; yet the Lord hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not let the sons of Israel go out of his land. This was all part of the LORD's sovereign plan, and the last plague, the death of the firstborn, was no exception.
