Exodus 36:1-7 meaning
The first seven verses of chapter 36 continue the last section of chapter 35 concerning the work of Bezalel and Oholiab. They started to work on the construction of the tabernacle, and all the while the people continued to bring their contributions. They brought so much material to Moses that he finally had to urge the people not to bring any more.
Exodus 36:8-13 meaning
The tabernacle construction begins. In these verses, the curtains were created by the skilled artisan Bezalel. He also made other items associated with the curtains. The designs for the curtains were given in Exodus 26:1 – 14.
Exodus 36:14-19 meaning
The roof curtains of the tabernacle were made a specific size along with loops and clasps. A covering for the tabernacle was also made. The plans for their construction were given by God to Moses on the mountain, as recorded in Exodus 26:7 – 14.
Exodus 36:20-30 meaning
The boards for the walls of the tabernacle are built. They were made according to the specifications in Exodus 26:15 – 23.
Exodus 36:31-34 meaning
The cross bars used in the tabernacle are built. The plans for the bars are in Exodus 26:26 – 29.
Exodus 36:35-38 meaning
The veil for the tabernacle was made. This veil was what separated the Holy of Holies from the Holy Place inside the tabernacle. The plans for the veil were given in Exodus 26:31 – 37.
