God is sovereign over all historical events and works through human rulers to accomplish His plan.

Isaiah’s action demonstrated the coming humiliation of powerful nations and reminded God’s people of the LORD’s sovereign control.

God always provides warnings to His people before judgments fall.

God’s sovereign plans eventually humble those who rely on human strength and alliances.

They will inevitably discover that any reliance outside of the LORD will lead to shame.

They sought safety through alliances, but they discovered only God’s power secures true deliverance.
